Legal Contract Review Services
Whilst insurance brokers may provide contract review opinions, they are unable to provide formal legal advice or legal opinion. Broker reviews are invariably limited to compliance with the insurance clause in the contract; however other clauses in contracts will usually have implications with respect to your insurance cover.
Clients entering into contracts should therefore obtain both legal and insurance advice in respect of any contract. This process can be long winded and costly, but failure to do so can lead to significant financial exposure.
As a Perrymans client you can refer the contract to us and, through our association with Bastiaan Sparreboom Legal Services, you will have access to a cost effective detailed service that provides a consolidated insurance and legal review of contracts. Bastiaan, a former partner of some of Australia’s largest legal firms, has 35 years’ experience specialising in construction and insurance law. The service not only includes a consolidated review, but also recommendations as to contract amendments that can be incorporated into negotiations with your clients.
For our clients, Perrymans have subsidised the costs to review either basic standard contracts or more complex bespoke contracts. Please contact us for further details on our Legal Contract Review Services.
